So…. On the the next news.

Dawn and I got married!

What can I say, I tried to shoot my own wedding and with a little help from raf we pretty much accomplished it. So below are some of the photos and some of my thoughts.

But before that.

Dawn and I want to let everyone know we wanted to keep this wedding small. So that’s what we did. We made some hard decisions not to include a lot of people. So we hope you will join us sometime Feb or later for a New Orleans wedding reception. Dates will be picked and invites will be sent to everyone.

Now on to the photos.

Full Album is up here.

Cool off

Raz had this smile locked on
We did a little hike with some friends the day before the wedding it was fantastic I’m so glad we got to show our friends a little piece of Oregon that we love.

Raz

Raf, Dawn, Kelly

We got back and got in the creek had some food, and generally just hung out before dinner was served.

And after some dinner and some drinks we stood around the campfire like you do and just checked out the stars. While our nieces and nephews, ran around with glow sticks and crazy balloons.

The rest of the night was a wild in the woods party that you had to be there to experience, Bourbon around the campfire, Chris freaking out about seeing sate-lights in space for the first time. Campfires that were to big, missions to get firewood, missions to get people lost from getting firewood. It was a blast.

Breakfast the next morning was awesome, mexican eggs, and left over pork / lots of yummy treats.

Chris Raf, and Raz had to leave so there were some goodbyes.

Dawn and I took a hike the next day after everyone left.

I can not describe this pool

The end one last shot of our campsite as we like to take photos of our little camp setups.

Our campsite

Man what a long strange trip its been, I’ve known dawn for 23years maybe longer. We never thought that any of this would happen.

I mean look at us at our high school graduation, now look at us again.

Cool off

I still have crazy hair, dawn is still just as beautiful.

We talk a lot about how lucky we are just to be together with each other to share this life with each other. But this wedding showed us its not just us its everyone in our lives, you are so special to us you make our lives awesome. You are our friends, our family, and as the saying goes friends are the family that you choose. So thank you for making this happen for us, We pretty much got exactly what we wanted and we couldn’t have planned it better.

Please have a look at the full album we have hundreds of other photos that aren’t in this post.

Full Album is up here.

  9. Dear Dawn and Eli … by these beautiful pictures in black and white, I admire the wonderful wedding that I have ever seen! It is exactly with this forest, this simplicity, this cheerful, with smiles and love that characterizes you (Dawn, Eli, and Caroline Dean – my dear friends) that I would like for our own wedding (Veronica and me) . Thank you for allowing us, in pictures, to share with honeymooners those magical moments. And long life to Dawn and Eli, the coolest residents of Louisiana !!! Bravo Chers Ami(e)s ! Nous vous embrassons “from Paris”… (“From Paris with Love :-)…

  10. Thank you Herve! we hope you can come visit us in new orleans sometime and then maybe another time we can go to Oregon and see the trees.

  11. Yes, we hope exactly the same thing !!! But my health isn’t very good currently. I am bipolar (as Claire Danes in “Homeland” …). This prevents me from traveling long but also to organize our own wedding. So I hope to see you as soon as is possible. We have enough money to travel but my freedom to make nice big decisions is low. If you want to come to Paris, do not hesitate … We live in Paris, near a place called “Porte d’Orleans” …

Wow, congratulations! I’m so happy for you both! Wish you both even more happiness! You are both so awesome, the wedding looks fantastic and very fitting for your wedding.

Miss you guys very much, hopefully we’ll get to hang out soon!

  13. it was so much fun, every bit of it. The drama was even fun, and good spirited when Jim abided a little too much. We loved that we were included, it has been so long, but our memories of the time we shared in Prineville will always be precious because of Dawn, Caroline and our fun times in the boondocks.
