We got up late and dawn started getting ready as the day broke. It looked like rain but maybe it would hold out.

Outside I see my neighbor and ask him if he wants to go.

We get to the Fox Lounge just after 10, we are greeted with two pints of vodka. Heck of a way to start a party. People here do it right.

The Lady and Men Rollers do it right.

Dawn changes I wonder around and shoot photos.

Once I start I can’t stop.

I’m planning on shooting on the float but it takes off I get out between the flohttps://smellcircus.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/DSC8450.jpgand its stretched too far.

The parade is fun the dancers are on point. We go to a lot of second line’s the Dancers here are my favorite. They smile more.

The crowd swells to huge number as we turn into Washington.

We stop and then move on towards the graveyard, balloons are released in remembrance of the souls lost.

The party kicks back up. A minute to remember and an hour to celebrate. That’s how we do it here. That’s how it should be done.

The end is near and we say goodbye. Dawn and I grab a cab and head home.
