Day 7
We’re up at 7:45 with the mist. We eat and watch the porters pack gear for the big Son Doong Cave expidition. I’m out of it today so I stay in bed. Dawn gives me more medicine than I can remember and my day slides by in fever sweats.
Dawn goes to town and sign languages her way through takeout food, 7up and bananas for me. I love her.
I watch as the 6 truckloads of dirt delivered yesterday are wheeled around the property one at a time. I’m sick but it’s still amazing here.
It’s our last day her so I’m going to take advantage of what’s left and just stare at the beauty.
It’s raining but the river still buzzes with dragon boats, birds, and the echoes of the village.
I eat on the river one last time. We sit and sip ginger tea and plan our trip to HUE.
Another place that steals your heart. I hope it stays untouched I hope for them they manage the influx of tourism right.
