Day 8 1/2 train and Hue
We chug along thud thud thud. We get another sleeper car because lying down is the only way to travel. Small villages and factory’s fly by, mountains light the background. It’s lush here, this is the rainiest area of the country.
We share a car with two women heading south like us. A student and her aunt an art director. The student is studying business English and wants to work in the tourism industry. She loves vietnam, we do too.
This is the cheaper of the sleeper trains, it is still amazing to travel lying down. It’s comfy and our car is clean enough. Why can’t we get it together in America to make this happen. Trains are cheap, travel is easy here.
We arrive and its hawker central this is even worse than hanoi. We get accosted by another passenger on our trip to the hotel. Turns out he is a tour guide and he wants to show us some stuff. Photos of tours! And some reviews in a book that proves he is amazing.
We get to the hotel, eat and it’s bed time.
