Hanoi day two

Riding a scooter in Hanoi is and should be its own national sport. Jostling for position amongst the cabs and busses that fill the streets takes balance percision and skills beyond the mere mortal skills most have. I personally wouldn’t have tried if I hadn’t been born on two wheels. I grew up in the BMX age and this looks fun.

We got up and went to a western breakfast which consisted of eggs, pancakes, dumplings, fruit. Amazing super ripe beautifully cut and manicured fruit. Oohhhh sooo good. Topped off with some of the best coffee I’ve ever had and we were off and running into the day with full bellies and happy hearts.

Vietnam – day 1

The city wakes up at 6:30 you hear a couple people at first then a torrent of scooters, voices and the sound of makeshift food vendors setting up for the day. It’s a place and a people that aren’t afraid of hard work. We get up at 7 and can’t sleep to excited to see it. To go out and fumble our way through the first, well the first everything.

Made it to Vietnam! We are safe and sound in our hotel it’s been a heck of a trip and I’m about to crash out.

Stuck in Dallas.

Dawn catching a nap in the airport. Our plane was broken so we got on a later flight. 4 hours in the airport and now we are in Dallas! Weee. So a day delay on our trip but we made the best of it. We got room service and watched a lot of tv.

So dawn and I leave for Vietnam in a couple hours.

I wanted to check how posting from the road will be that is if I get around to it.

I grabbed us a couple small king cakes from the cake cafe to at least taste a little of what we are leaving behind.

The Pussyfooters Blush Ball was awesome they raised $20’000 for METRO, and rocked out late into the evening. I personally was not drinking at all.. So I remember everything. But if you happened to have like a half a beer you can look below for some reminders of the evening.

What a year,
As many of you have guessed, by our lack of getting you cards, gifts, well anything. We have a pile of stuff that should go to the post office, hopefully before we head to Vietnam on the 22nd. First off its been a long couple of months, and to be honest we are beat.

We have had guests here for…, well 2 months solid at least and that wears you out eventually. With that said we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are tired but its that good tired after you had a nice long workout or a day at the beach.

We just had po-boy fest happen, Mike came out to enjoy and above you can see some of his sisters kids awesome facepaint work.
